A homage to the city’s past and a vision for its sustainable future, the museum serves as a dynamic canvas that layers historical and modern elements to inspire new narratives.

Inspired by the passage of time, the facade draws inspiration from the lines and forms found in the architecture, ceramics, and glassworks of famed Finnish designers, creating a dialogue between past and present.

Overlapping planes within the structure provide opportunities for visual connections, exposing the layers of architecture, structure, and services. This dynamic skin, with its varying transparency and opacity, is tuned to respond to the building’s internal functions, creating a harmonious interplay of light and shadow.
